This ONE DAY workshop will give you concrete ways to build

essay in response to reading using inferential understanding &

text evidence. We will work on ways to move readers to

structured essay-type responses in quick and clear ways. We will

create a structured essay response, look at concrete ways to to READ TO WRITE, discuss specific ways to elaborate within the essay, as well as helping students not to repeat within the essay.

ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP.  

This workshop qualifies for Title 1 funding.

All workshops begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m.  

Plan to arrive between 8:10 and 8:20 to sign in, pick up materials, and find seating.  If you are expecting a large group from your school, it is a good idea to come early if sitting together is important to you. Dress comfortably and you may want to add layers...buildings can be really cold.
