Raising Stamina & Engagement with Series Books (Levels I-Q)
July 22, 2021
$175 per person
This ONE DAY workshop is not to be missed if you have students that
read inside levels I-Q during your school year. Whether you are a 1st grade teacher with stronger readers, or a 5th grade teacher with students reading inside these levels, this workshop will provide you with insight on how to raise the rigor and engagement of these students by introducing them to series books within levels I-Q. We will show you how to take known aspects within series book-reading to support your students and thinking forward in texts, understanding what to possibly expect from a stock character, and using their prior experiences to comprehend more deeply. We will talk about ways to rally your readers to dig deep across a series to develop theories about the characters as well as what to count on from the author.
